Leaseo Privacy Policy
Leaseo — a product of Vertical AI Inc.
Last updated: November 2026
1. Who we are and what this covers
Leaseo is an AI concierge for rental properties, made by Vertical AI Inc (“Vertical,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a United States company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the Leaseo mobile app, website at leaseo.ai, and related services, including through Google Home (together, “Leaseo”).
Leaseo is used by landlords and property owners (“Landlords”) and by the tenants they invite (“Tenants”). This policy applies to both. Leaseo is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account and contact information — name, email address, phone number, and the address of the rental property.
- Property and tenancy information — property details, lease agreements and other documents you upload, rent amounts, payment status and due dates, and maintenance history.
- Messages — messages between Tenants, Landlords, owners, and Leaseo’s AI assistant, including voice messages.
- Voice and video calls — when you use calling features, calls may be recorded and transcribed. Leaseo tells participants when a call is being recorded.
- Photos and video — for example, pictures of a repair issue, or move-in and mid-lease walkthroughs, with the time they were taken.
- Location — precise or approximate location, only when you choose to share it (for example, to share a property’s location), and only with your device permission.
- Payment information — Leaseo subscriptions are paid through Apple’s App Store or through our payment processor, Stripe. Apple and Stripe process the payment; we receive confirmation of your subscription and limited billing details, not your full card number.
- Rent records — rent amounts, due dates, and whether rent has been paid. Leaseo tracks rent; it does not collect or process rent payments.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and how you use Leaseo.
- Push notification tokens, so we can send you notifications you have enabled.
Information from others
- If you are a Tenant, your Landlord may give us your name, contact details, and tenancy information to invite you.
- If you link Google Home or another smart-home service, we receive the requests you make through it and the information needed to answer them.
3. How we use information
- To run Leaseo: answering questions, triaging and routing maintenance requests, keeping the property record, tracking rent and payments, and delivering messages and calls.
- To translate conversations between languages in real time.
- To check answers against your lease and applicable local law.
- To send you notifications, service messages, and support responses.
- To keep Leaseo secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
- To understand and improve Leaseo.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
4. Artificial intelligence
Leaseo uses Google’s Gemini models, through Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, to understand and answer messages, translate, summarize, and triage requests. Messages, documents, photos, and transcripts may be processed by these models to produce responses. We apply contractual and technical safeguards with Google, and we do not permit your content to be used to train third-party models. AI responses can be wrong; Landlords approve the decisions that matter.
5. Who we share information with
- The other people in your tenancy. Messages, requests, photos, and records are shared between the Tenants, Landlords, and owners of the same property, as the app shows.
- Vendors. When a maintenance request is routed to a vendor (such as a plumber or electrician), we share what they need to do the job — for example, the property address, a description and photos of the issue, and a contact name and number.
- Service providers who host and run Leaseo for us, including Google Cloud (hosting and AI), Stripe (payment processing), communications providers, and Apple (payments and app distribution), under contracts that limit their use of the information.
- Legal and safety. When required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of anyone.
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. Your choices and privacy rights
You can update your information in the app, turn off location sharing and notifications in your device settings, and disconnect Google Home at any time.
Depending on where you live — including California under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your personal information; to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and certain profiling; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for using these rights.
To use these rights, email privacy@verticalinc.ai. We will respond within 45 days (or up to 90 days if we need more time and tell you why). We may verify your identity first. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing privacy@verticalinc.ai with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where required.
Sensitive information. Precise location and account log-in details are sensitive personal information. We use them only to provide Leaseo, as permitted by law.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your Leaseo account from within the app, or by emailing privacy@verticalinc.ai. When you delete your account we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must keep it — for example, records a Landlord is legally required to retain, information needed to resolve a dispute, or where law requires us to keep it.
8. Records and retention
Leaseo keeps a timestamped record of a tenancy so that Landlords and Tenants can rely on it. We keep personal information for as long as the account and tenancy are active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Leaseo is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our payment processor, Stripe, also processes payment data in the United States. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your log-in details safe.
10. Children
Leaseo is for adults. Accounts must be held by people aged 18 or over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. If you are outside the United States
Leaseo is operated from and hosted in the United States, including by our service providers Google Cloud and Stripe. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here, update the “Last updated” date, and give additional notice in the app or by email for material changes.
